Review:

I don’t really know what I was expecting out of Ryan Adams, but a Grant Lee Buffalo album was not it at all. I’ve only known Adams previous work peripherally -- chocking Whiskeytown up as one of those bands you hear more about than you hear. I picked this up to see what all the buzz was about.

Like I said, I didn’t expect Grant Lee Buffalo, but that’s what it sounds like to me. I happen to have enjoyed Grant Lee Buffalo a great deal, so I was not upset, just taken aback by a sound I wasn’t prepared for.
