Agent Ribbons:
  Family Haircut
This is a retro kind of tune. The guitars are reverby, kind of similar to A Classic Education. Female voices speak words clearly, in that bored kind of style that Nico used on the first Velvet Underground album. The drums are big and echoey, which gives the song a spacious sound as the two female voices harmonize and oooh. It's good stuff if you like that sort of thing.

Big Search:

Distant Shore
This is a sunshiny pop tune, bright and sparkly with hushed vocals, brushed drums, and chiming guitar. A pleasant little tune for sunny days. It moves along lightly and nicely.

Flote:

The Cascades
This is odd. A strange high-pitched sound whines a long, like an electronic organ set to the highest possible frequency. It is backed by 1980s sounding like synth drums. But there are many other layers that float in and out, synths and a little bass rumble. The song gets denser as it progresses. But it works for the most part. It is a decent song with a nice head-bopping beat.

Germany Germany:

All of Your Love (featuring Kotomi)
This starts off with some keyboards hitting lightly, slightly echoed. Then a chorused guitar comes in, and is joined by a silly synth beat like something from Ova Looven. A female voice, clear and breathy sings. I guess the voice is Kotomi. The laptop overtakes the other elements of the song, her voice stuttering as the drums go crazy. This is a cool little synthy dreampop tune. It has a nice beat. Good stuff.

Grand Resort:

Night is Day
This is very retro, a song seeped in shades of the late 1980s. It starts with a staticky half-heard sample of someone with a British accent talking, likely on a radio, and then a chiming guitar riff comes in, all sparkly and bright. The voice is hushed, and a keyboard plinks a happy little melody. There is a hint of late Felt here.

Message to Bears:

I Know You Love to Fall
A guitar plinks out a lonely melody, while laptopped beats skitter, and a male with a rich lush voice repeats a simple refrain. Strings and piano get added in. The beat is catchy, toe-tapping, while the whole songs sways lightly. I really like this. It is steeped in the same sort of vaguely nostalgia that colors Epic 45 and July Skies.

Parisian:

Sean
This is a lovely Washed Out style track with waves of synths, echoed voice, some clattering percussion, and lethargic beats. It moves along slowly, but pleasantly. In the middle, he layers in some frantic synths, like Tangerine Dream on speed. A nice effect.

Woodsman:
  Supernal Radionics
This is a nice, tinkling space rock song. There are odd whooshing sounds in the background under a throbbing bass and some tinkling guitar. Is this a Landing-influenced band? How weird is that. Still, this kind of thing is right up my alley.

Young Boys:
  Love Hits
For some reason EvilSponge seems to get a lot of promos that are old school 1980s retro goth. I have no idea why that would happen. Oh, and did you happen to see where i put my old Siouxsie and the Banshees t-shirt? Anyway, this is a really good example of the genre. It has nice fuzzy guitars, a steady tinny drum thud, and a deep voice droning on. It's like Bauhaus meets Psychocandy-era Jesus and Mary Chain. Very cool. Black eyeliner not required.
